Payment
You can pay securely online using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal and other methods of payment. We use PayPal as our processing service, protecting you and your information with a well known and trusted company.
All payments are processed through PayPal, however, you do NOT need a PayPal account to place an order with us at MicroscopeGenius.com. Simply checkout, and when presented for payment, select the bottom option “Pay with a Credit Card”.
If the credit card authorization fails, we will notify you as soon as possible so that you can contact your bank and resubmit payment. Please allow 1-2 business days (M-F) to contact you if this occurs.
We will also be accepting wire transfer (T/T) payments in the near future. An annoucement will be made when we are able to do so.
Sales Tax
MicroscopeGenius.com is only required to collect sales tax to orders shipped within the states of California and Florida.
California residents will be subject to 8.5% sales tax, while Florida residents will be subject to 7% sales tax, as required by each state’s respective laws.
Shipping
MicroscopeGenius.com orders will generally ship from Florida, U.S. Currently, we are only shipping within the contiguous United States via UPS Ground. Our processing time typically ranges between 1-3 business days, and depending on your location from our shipping facility, most items will arrive within 3-5 business days after they are marked as shipped.
Free UPS Ground shipping may apply if a promotion is available and active, however, generally, shipping is calculated during checkout using a UPS API dependent on weight and volume of the shipment.
International Orders
At this time, MicroscopeGenius.com is not shipping internationally for orders placed via our website, however, we are looking into it and will be making an announcement when we are setup to ship internationally.
If you are interested in an item and are international to us, please email info@microscopegenius.com with your name, address, and the items you are interested in, and we will assist you with placing your order.
Customer is responsible for payment of any customs duties, local sales and/or other taxes, if applicable, and such charges may be collected by the shipping company upon delivery.
MicroscopeGenius.com is not responsible nor assumes any responsibility for any applicable local taxes or for customs duties imposed in any country other than the United States.
Returns
We here at MicroscopeGenius.com understand that purchasing a microscope over the internet can be difficult since you are not able to visibly check if the optical quality or build quality of the unit is up to your standards prior to purchase, however, we also understand that if we were running a brick and mortar location, our costs would be astronomical, and drive our prices to you astronomically high as a result.
To help alleviate this catch 22, we have a 28 calendar day return policy in place to help protect you.
If you aren’t happy with the microscope you ordered from us, please send us a return request to info@microscopegenius.com, including your order number and date of purchase, within 28 days of the receipt of the item in the mail. We will issue you a Return Authorization Number to return the microscope back for a refund. Please note that original shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping costs are not covered by MicroscopeGenius.com.
Note that when an item is received in the mail is determined by when the tracking number from the courier states the item is delivered, not when a package is opened. Please open and test your items immediately upon receipt to avoid any issues.
In the event that a unit arrives defective, please notify us within 7 calendar days of the receipt of the item by emailing your order number and pictures of the defect to info@microscopegenius.com. We will assist you in replacing or returning the item. This 7 calendar day period also applies for short shipments. If you are missing an item from your order, or are not sure, please email us with a photo of all items received and your order number, and we will be happy to assist.
Warranty
MicroscopeGenius.com does not offer any warranty on the items we sell. However, we do work closely with our suppliers to ensure that the manufacturer’s warranty does apply for items we sell.
If you are interested in an item and would like to know what the manufacturer’s warranty is, or if you have a warranty claim you’d like us to assist with, please feel free to email us at info@microscopegenius.com, and we will be happy to provide that information to you.
We will, in the future, assemble a database of manufacturer’s warranties and link to it here, for your convenience.
Price and/or Description Changes
There are many moving parts the retail chain from manufacturer to supplier to you, and as such, things can change quickly. Because of the nature of our industry, all prices, pictures, and descriptions on this website are subject to change as necessary to maintain truthful product details and pricing.
We do not assume responsibility for any typographical errors or manufacturer’s changes that we were not made aware of prior to purchase, however, the return period policy still applies if you are unhappy with the unit as it arrives. When you place your order with us, you agree to the price and terms indicated in your cart at the time of checkout.
